Business Development Manager 

Location: South West (Bristol Office)

Position: Full Time / Permanent 

Department: Sales / Commercial 

Due to continued growth CSG have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious sales professional to join the organisation specifically selling IT Managed Services and / or Telecommunication services. You will develop new business with clients across South West England based from our Bristol office and have experience of IT / Telecom services and the market place. The successful candidate will provide a range of ICT solutions.

Role responsibilities:

  • Primarily selling on premise or hosted IT & /  telecoms systems from main stream vendors.
  • Generating new business leads through use of existing contacts, cold calling, networking and market knowledge.
  • Tracking / reporting open opportunities and maintaining a pipeline of business to meet agreed targets.
  • Closing sales opportunities and consistently hitting monthly revenue & profit targets.
  • Working closely with the Commercial Manager to monitor opportunities and performance.

Applicants should possess experience of working in similar role within the IT & Telecoms industry, with the ability to establish and build effective long term relationships while demonstrating commercial awareness and negotiation skills. The ability to effectively communicate with a spectrum of people is crucial and will need to “hit the ground running.” You will have experience of solution selling and the skills required to deliver these whilst speaking with business owners, directors and other “C” level contacts. 

Desired skills and experience to include:

  • Solid understanding and experience of the IT Services / Data Centre / Telecommunications industry (Hosted Voice, SIP/VoIP desirable).
  • 3 Years minimum experience of selling Managed Services / Microsoft / VMware and vendor Telephone Solutions.
  • Professional written and presentational skills for delivering winning proposals.

The successful candidate will have the desire to take ownership of tasks set with an ability to see everything through to completion in a professional manner.
