CSG was proud to support CyberFirst Wales at its annual flagship event, Pathways, which aims to develop digital and cyber skills and showcase future careers for young people across Wales. This year’s event engaged over 600 learners from schools and colleges, offering hands-on experiences and insights into the world of cyber security and technology.
Two regions, one mission

Held across South Wales and North Wales, the events brought together industry leaders, universities and organisations committed to building the next generation of cyber professionals. The CSG team supported the South Wales event:
- South Wales: at the University of South Wales Newport campus, learners from 14 schools and colleges explored interactive workshops and a careers fair. Partners including ourselves, BT, Admiral, Office for National Statistics, IPO, Kocho and Wales & West Utilities delivered real-world challenges in encryption, ethical hacking and data security. Universities such as Swansea University, Cardiff University and Cardiff Met showcased academic pathways in areas like digital forensics and AI
One learner summed up the experience perfectly:
“I really enjoyed the CyberFirst day, we did so many fun activities like a cyber escape room from Airbus and I was especially interested in North Wales Police’s segment about the use of AI. It was a great day and I would definitely do it again.”
CSG’s role and commitment

CSG is committed to:
- Supporting education and outreach through partnerships like CyberFirst Wales.
- Promoting diversity and inclusion in technology careers.
- Sharing expertise to help young people understand real-world cyber roles.
Looking ahead
We’re excited to continue working with CyberFirst Wales Pathways and other partners to inspire, educate and empower the next generation of cyber defenders. Together, we can make a difference.
