Situated in the Vale of Glamorgan, L.E.L Properties specialise in leasing office space, workshops and long term storage units on a short and long term basis. With an increasing strain on the systems, which were impacting the internal environment, L.E.L Properties required an improved method of systems and data backup, and a realistic business continuity plan.
Proposals and Recommendations
With a heavy reliance on outdated technology there was no guarantee of quick recovery in the event of a failure or disaster scenario. Following a full evaluation of their systems, CSG advised improvements with back-up and disaster recovery being the focal point.
The Onboarding
Our recommendations resulted in the implementation of a robust and resilient BUDR plan to ensure continuity in the event of a hardware failure or disaster. More importantly, proactive managed support through our 360° Managed Support Programme would ensure the systems are monitored and managed 24/7/365. This would identify issues before they impact the business. L.E.L would have access to, and be provided with weekly/monthly operating reports and an immediate response from our dedicated helpdesk. L.E.L systems and data would be automatically backed up and held securely, plus they would benefit from a comprehensive disaster contingency plan.
Measuring Results
The BUDR strategies implemented by CSG made sure all the critical data was backed up depending upon the L.E.L’s needs. Whenever a restore was needed, the backups were available to restore the data to a point-in-time prior to failure. This solution protected valuable company information and provided protection from any major business disasters. This proactive approach to supporting L.E.L’s systems means that problems can be identified and solved without L.E.L even knowing about them creating less downtime or slow response times as a result.
L.E.L have seen a 94% increase in productivity and have a 100% backup and disaster recovery plan in place. This will keep the business running in the event of power failure.
