At CSG we have seen more and more businesses asking us about their suitability for joining the Cloud. It is a growing concept and one that many organisations have experienced, as people are now more open to the idea of moving their infrastructure into the Cloud.

1. Reduces risk

If a business moves their services to the Cloud it means that if the internet fails or there is a disaster, such as a fire, the organisation can still access their files. They could work from home or even a café and still continue to access their presentations, files, critical data and CRM. There is also security integrated which protects the infrastructure to ensure data remains safe.

2. Increases flexibility

Flexibility is incredibly important and the Cloud offers a solution which means that staff can work anywhere and at any time. The idea of BYOD (bring your own device) has become a reality due to a virtualised Cloud environment as businesses can allow any device to work on their network. This is because the applications and desktops are hosted on centralised servers externally.

3. Access to the latest technology

Historically, SMEs were unable to access the latest technology as it was too expensive. Now, the Cloud offers a solution that means smaller businesses can have access to high end technology but at a price that suits them. At CSG we are able to supply a full suite of IT services and applications for a small monthly fee!

4. Ability to work from anywhere

As previously mentioned the Cloud is fantastic for remote working. It also enables staff members to access critical information instantaneously and we are seeing a trend of people wanting to access their email and applications from their phones, tablets and laptops.

5. Saves money and time

By moving into the Cloud it means that businesses can pay on a monthly basis and have the flexibility to decide what type of service they need to suit their cash flow. The Cloud also saves time as businesses can rapidly grow their infrastructure, which would be a lot more time consuming if they had an on-premise system.

If you would like to know more about the Cloud and how it can help your business, myself or one of our advisers will be happy to help.
