A four man team riding for CSG completed the Taff Trail challenge for Ty Hafan charity on Sunday 7th September.

One of the most beautifully scenic cycling challenges that Wales has to offer, the team followed the historic Taff Trail from Brecon to Cardiff.

The 26 mile route took them along some of the most picturesque views of the Welsh valleys and villages as they followed the trail along former railway lines, canal paths, tram roads, stunning reservoirs and viaducts. After starting the challenge in the town of Merthyr, the team immediately started to see this multi-purpose route start to open up in front of them, and it wasn’t long before they saw how the Taff Trail manages to bring the countryside into the town.

The team then made their way to the finish line where they recived a heroes welcome, and a great sense of personal achievement after raising more than £600.00!

Tŷ Hafan, which celebrates its 15th anniversary this year, has supported 601 life-limited children, young people and their families since 1999 – of those, 28 families have come from Carmarthenshire.

The charity takes its support right into the family home and is there to help families through every step of their unimaginable journey. For Tŷ Hafan to offer this unique service completely free of charge to families in Wales, it has to raise more than £3.7 million every year.

A huge well done to all the team involved!
