Is your email safe? Working with one of our vendors we have come across a mass spam attack generated from Russia.
Within the last quarter and working closely with one of our security vendors, analysts detected several spam waves that included emails appearing to be from Russian ladies looking for potential friendship (or more).
The spam waves were huge and spam traffic jumped considerably when these were sent out. No malicious attachments or links were included in the emails so they are more likely to be intended to find legitimate email addresses and possibly extort further information from anyone who responds to the emails.
