Every quarter, we're introducing you to a new team member. This month is all about our IT Support Apprentice, Charles Lamb.
“As we go into May, I have been working at CSG for a little over ten months and it’s fair to say I couldn’t be happier. Right from the start I was given a very warm welcome by all of the team and was made to feel completely included with how the company operates and runs day to day.
Although having previous experience in the IT sector I decided to take an apprenticeship to re-train as an engineer as it’s something I’ve always been interested in but never had a chance to get a foot in the door so to speak, and CSG has made that possible for me.
The apprenticeship itself is very well structured and is focused around forming you into a fully rounded engineer with constant opportunities to venture into new aspects of the job i.e. onsite installs, telephony as well as helpdesk training. To partner that with the college course you go through, it is well catered to building your career as well as covering all the necessary theory aspects.
Since working at CSG my confidence in myself has improved as I’m constantly getting meaningful feedback and support from the team as well as confidence that I’m working towards and career that can set me up for life.”
