Windows XP End of Life Support is getting closer. To ensure your computer remains protected from threats, and continues to be supported by Microsoft, we recommend you upgrade your computer to Windows 7/8 Professional.
To find out if your computer is compatible with Windows 7/8 you can download the Upgrade Assistant from Microsoft. It will give you a compatibility report and take you through the steps to upgrade a single PC.
At CSG, we can assist small and medium sized businesses to migrate multiple PCs to Windows 8 in order to ensure your business is protected and supported.
Why have Microsoft ended support for Windows XP?
The lifecycle of each product is announced as early as possible in order for Microsoft to provide customers with a clear support timeline. This also allows Microsoft to focus support on newer products which are becoming more commonly used.
What does this mean to SAGE and Pegasus software users?
After this date there will be no security updates, hot fixes, assisted support options or technical content updates. It is essential that all XP machines are upgraded to the latest operating systems as quickly as possible.. This will ensure that your software applications are running on the appropriate environments.
The only service Microsoft will provide is virus warning until July 2015.
Although no formal notice has been given by Pegasus software at this stage, CSG have been informed that support will end in 2015.
