The Client

CBT are a firm based in Tonypandy and Bridgend and offer services to businesses throughout South Wales. CBT work closely with their clients and act for a broad range of businesses and personal clients and have a first class reputation for what they deliver. Apart from the more general accountancy services, CBT can also assist with business development and specialist tax services. CBT are very approachable, “talk your language” and can offer a first class service at a cost effective price.

The Brief

Working from two offices situated in Tonypany and Bridgend, the company were struggling with outdated IT & Telecoms technology. The employee productivity levels were being hindered by performance and capability problems. The organisation needed to build a positive working relationship with a reputable, well established Managed Service Provider, to deliver support on a proactive basis.

The Solution

A network and security audit of the ICT systems and infrastructure was undertaken by CSG’s technical team, which resulted in the introduction of the 360° Managed Support Programme to monitor, maintain and support the systems to the levels expected by the key stakeholders. This helped CBT realise the benefits of a fully managed service with a seamless function that provided peace of mind and reduced down time all for one fixed monthly cost. CSG understood the requirements for providing adaptable Managed Services, that would support both IT and voice/data systems. There was also no IT expertise onsite at either office so CSG provided day-to-day network administration and support via our replicated helpdesks at our Bridgend, Bristol and Exeter offices. 

There were legacy telephony systems in place that were not cost effective for the organisation. With the introduction of the Bridgend office it was important both sites were seamlessly integrated to provide the best server for clients. CSG recommended a hosted system with replacement Polycom VVX 410 handsets and voice services migrated to the IP platform to provide a more flexible telephone system for the organisation to meet changing demands.

The Result

Better performing equipment and faster infrastructure means that staff and directors can now work more efficiently. Total costs have been reduced as a result of lower hardware provisioning bills (telephony and IT), lines /calls rates and reduced power usage across the entire company. CBT benefit from increased telephony performance and business continuity, reduced risk through use of reliable equipment and implementation of a Hosted IP Telephony solution that has saved the business 38% on their telecom spend.
