Step One

Introduction

Absolute Solvents are the market leaders in solvent recovery in the UK. They specialise in supplying recycled or reclaimed solvent, toll recovery of waste solvents, buying of used or redundant solvents as well as the disposal itself. Operating from their head office facility in Somerset, Absolute Solvents advised us that staff struggled with ageing server hardware and limited internal resources. Productivity and efficiency levels were being impacted by performance and capability issues, and the company needed to create a positive working relationship with a top line managed service provider.

Step Two

Proposals and Recommendations

Following a full audit of the systems and infrastructure, CSG recommended that they completely refresh the existing server and have access to the CSG 360° Managed Support Programme. This would help with a seamless service, give peace of mind and reduce downtime all for one fixed monthly fee. We suggested that this work be carried out over a weekend to minimise disruption to their team.

Step Three

The Onboarding

Once directors had seen the proposal and approved, CSG set the company up with a hardware support contract and eventually rolled out the 360° Managed Support Programme. More recently, Absolute Solvents has also moved onto the Pegasus Opera 3 platform.

The investment in a HP server upgrade allows staff to work more robustly with higher performing equipment. The 360° Managed Support Programme allows Absolute Solvents to take advantage of uplift in performance, greater working flexibility and a comprehensive solution for the organisations IT. New equipment and faster architecture means employees can now work more efficiently. Total cost of ownership (TCO) has been reduced as a result of lower hardware provisioning outlay and reduced power consumption.
